MGCNLCA Badminton Varsity Clinches Podium Finish at the 2025 Xavier Cup

The MGC New Life Christian Academy Badminton Varsity brought home four medals as it showcased an incredible performance in the second-ever Xavier Cup 2025, held at Centro Atletico court last October 19. 

The team brought home two silver and two bronze medals: the midget boys and high school girls finished as first runners-up, while the middle school girls and high school boys took second runners-up.

Representing the midget boys team were Jeremy Ngo, Lucas Andrew Chung, Caleb Zachary Tiu, Seth Nico Ong, and Enrico Drey Chao. The high school girls team included Sharlize Yllyna Bayot, Bethany Grace Tan, Alessi Johanna Chua, Ahyoon Song, and Lexie Eva Siao. For the middle school girls team, the players were Lexie Eva Siao, Kate Isabelle Liao, Chelsea Kate Co, Cecilia Yue, and Sachi Caitlyn Esteban. Lastly, the high school boys team was composed of Jairus Jacob Lee, Carlson Seth Go, Caleb Zachary Tiu, Lucas Andrew Chung, and Minyu Huang. 

Apart from  tournament host Xavier School San Juan, the participating schools were Saint Jude Catholic School, Jubilee Christian Academy, Uno High School, Ateneo de Manila, Colegio de San Agustin, Everest International Academy, Xavier School Nuvali, Immaculate Conception Academy, San Perfecto Elementary School, Chinese International School Manila, and Philippine Cultural College.
