MGCNLCA Launches First Merch Store

Hoodies, shirts, bags, socks, tumblers—all bearing the official MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) name and logo.

For the first time since its inception, MGCNLCA now has its own official merchandise (merch), available at the MGCNLCA Merch Store, which was officially launched last September 3 at the school’s Lobby 2. 

For School Director Helen Villanueva, the MGCNLCA Merch Store is a dream come true, representing more than just the school.

“It represents a community. It represents friendships formed in our classrooms and hallways. It represents teachers who have invested their lives in generations of students, families who have journeyed with us, and alumni who continue to carry the values they learned here wherever they go,” said Villanueva.

The Resource Mobilization Committee for the Alabang Campus was tasked with making this dream a reality. Led by MGCNLCA parent Kim Perez, the committee envisioned the merch store with three things in mind: school pride, unity, and a shared vision for the future.  

“The store was created to give the school community something they could proudly wear while supporting a greater purpose,” Perez shared.

The Season 1 Collection features the classic MGCNLCA green and white. Going back to something familiar and meaningful, one of the designs was inspired by a shirt worn over a decade ago, refreshed with a modern look while preserving the spirit of the original.

The collection was a true community effort from the various MGCNLCA stakeholders.

Aside from Perez, parents Sherri Chong, Evonne Hui, and Tiffany Tuazon helped in  developing several of the T-shirt designs.

Meanwhile, the alumni also came back to help the school that once shaped them. 

The husband and wife team of Simon Ang of Batch 6 and Chauntia Ang of Batch 4 conceptualized the creative direction of the photoshoot and developed the merch website from the ground up. Students, alumni, and other parents also modeled the merch. 

In addition, Batch 8’s Genevie Choa-Shi designed the merch store kiosk to be a space with a welcoming flow—not simply a place to shop, but a place where everyone could come together. 

With part of the proceeds going to the Alabang Campus fund, Villanueva encourages the whole school community to support the merch store. “Every purchase allows us to say: I am part of this. I am part of the MGCNLCA story. I am part of what God has done through this school, and by His grace, I am part of what He is continuing to build.”
