Journey to the Manger 2 Reveals the Reason for the Season
MGC New Life Christian Academy’s Lower Primary Years learners discovered the true meaning of Christmas through songs and storytelling as the Youngsters Theater Club (YTC) and the Lower Primary Years Choir joined forces to stage a play entitled “Journey To The Manger 2” in the auditorium on December 16, 2025.
The production followed a young girl named Ella who, in her desire to understand why people celebrate Christmas, embarked on a journey to explore its meaning. Played by Grade 3 student Margaux Duyan, Ella was guided by familiar modern yuletide symbols, such as the star, the gift, and the tree, which ultimately led to the nativity scene. Songs like Joy to the World, O Come, All Ye Faithful, Away in a Manger, and Gloria added color and excitement to the play.
Speaking on the purpose of the production, YTC moderator Camille Bago emphasized that the performance aimed to develop both talent and faith among the children. “The skills and talents of the kids are God-given, so it’s only fitting that they use and offer these to Him,” explained Bago.
The YTC’s mantra, as Bago added, is “All for the Audience of One”—a reminder to the performers, parents, and other family members in attendance to offer their talents to Christ and celebrate His birth during the Christmas season.
