Cana Students Shine in Christmas Recital

Grade 1 Cana students lit up the stage during their Christmas recital held at the school auditorium on December 11, 2025.

Mentored by Grade 1 Music Teacher Katherine Surigao, the students spent weeks preparing for this event. “The recital was held to showcase the learners’ gifts in singing and dancing, and to remind people that the reason for the season is the birth of Jesus Christ,” said Surigao, who also serves as the Music Subject Leader.

During the program, the first-graders showcased various Christmas songs, including “The Light Has Come” and “Wonderful Savior,” and a storytelling of the birth of the One who brought light to the world—Jesus Christ.

Parents and other family members filled the auditorium to support their children as they performed on stage. With their enthusiastic songs and dances, the children highlighted the true spirit of Christmas: that Jesus is the reason for the season.
