Called to Serve: Primary Years Students Elect Class Representatives
After a week-long campaign period, Grades 3 to 6 students welcomed a new set of leaders for the new school year during the Student Council (SC) elections held last September 5.
Elected as class representatives were Mavin Bryant Mancilla, Cadence Jolie Kaw, Yesha Quianna Miguel, and Vittoria Pua for Jericho; Alanna Riley Uy, Avery Isabelle Yap, Rosh Calah Tacsay, and Jacob Kai Perez for Gethsemane; Daphne Ellyse Chua, Abigail Joy Zhuang, Aiko Chan, and Beatrice Sara Yu for Galilee; and Sofia Ysabel Sta. Agueda, William Tyler Gatchalian, Bailey Whang, and Lance Thierry Go for Jordan.
Unlike previous elections, the different batches will no longer be represented by a single level representative. Instead, class representatives will alternately lead their batch throughout the school year.
SC Adviser Hannah Pearl Repotente shared her hopes that the representatives would lead with love and purpose, reflecting the love of Christ. “Ultimately, we pray for leaders who know that they are called by God to serve in the SC with confidence in their calling from God, and also joy to love others as God loved them,” remarked Repotente.
