New Lifers Excel in the National Round of PIMSO 2025
New Lifers brought pride to MGC New Life Christian Academy after securing three gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 13 bronze medals, along with two achiever awards and one merit award at the Philippines International Math and Science Olympiad (PIMSO) National Round 2025, held online last September 21, 28, and October 5.
Bagging gold medals were Grade 5 students Caleb Royce Garcia and Nixi Pan, as well as Kailey Alyssa Chua from Grade 12.
Meanwhile, the silver medalists included Timothy Acebo from Grade 5; Theo Chan from Grade 6; Ember Prince Wong and Evan Michael Gaw from Grade 7; Caleb Zachary Tiu, Michiko Meredith Tiong, Sophie Alexa Hernandez, and Iora Megan Garcia from Grade 8; Abbie Gail Ang from Grade 9; Maribeth Jullian Tiong from Grade 10; and Magnus Alexander Cabilangan from Grade 12.
Additionally, the bronze medalists were Adam Oliver Ang and Mateo Javier Gutierrez from Grade 4; Abigail Lorraine Tieng, Gabriel Howard Sze, and Manolo Vito Tan from Grade 5; Lance Thierry Go from Grade 6; Vitor Lorenzo Limlingan, Liam Cedric Chao, Terrence Alastair Sy, and Anica Faith So from Grade 7; and Johann Audric Chan, Raiden Kenzo Cabilangan, and Tyler Gavin Uy from Grade 8.
Lastly, Jillian Cassidy Kaw from Grade 8 and Dash Daniel Ang from Grade 9 received an Achiever Award, while Gavin Chase Go from Grade 9 received a Merit Award.
Having placed in the national round, these students qualified for the PIMSO Final Round, which will be held in Davao City from February 27 to March 2, 2026.
Organized by the International Champions in Education, PIMSO is an annual international competition for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 to test their abilities and promote excellence in mathematics and science.
