La Belle Nuit: A Night to Remember
It was a night filled with laughter, music, and excitement as around 160 Junior and Senior High School students came together to enjoy MGC New Life Christian Academy’s La Belle Nuit.
With the theme “A Night in Paris,” La Belle Nuit was the school’s first social night in six years, and the Student Government’s (SG) first official event of the school year.
SG President Sydney Paige Pesengco remarked, “We aimed to bring back an SG tradition that many alumni remember fondly, but with a fresh twist that reflects our current student body.”
The evening began with a series of games such as Bring Me, The Floor is Lava, and Unbroken Hearts to enliven the mood. La Belle Nuit also featured multiple booths and activities designed for students to create memories with one another. The event’s highlights included Cupid’s Booth, where students could write messages that would be delivered by the SG officers, and Fotografi, a photobooth where students could take unlimited pictures.
“I found it so fun that we got to hang [out] with our friends, and really got to socialize,” expressed Sophia Jesse Mercado of Grade 8.
After all the festivities, the teachers, guests, and students enjoyed the dinner buffet by The Creamery Catering. Capping off the event, DJ Yuichi played popular upbeat songs for everyone to enjoy, sing, and dance along to.
Pesengco hoped every attendee enjoyed the unique and exciting activities that La Belle Nuit had to offer. “After years without it, we saw the perfect opportunity to revive the sense of community and excitement it once brought,” said Pesengco.
