Bible Week 2026: Bringing God’s Word to Life Through Action

New Lifers celebrated National Bible Week last January 26 to 30 through games and outreach programs that ministered to children and the elderly.

With the theme “God’s Word Brings LIFE to Our Hearts and Homes,” the week-long celebration encouraged students to put their faith into action by actively sharing God’s Word through service and compassion to others.

The outreach program introduced to Grades 8 to 12 students this year allowed students to bring God’s Word to life and minister to various institutions, including Cuatro Christian School, Inc., World Vision Development Foundation, Gabay sa Landas Foundation, CCT-Kaibigan Ministry, GRACES, God’s Grace Home Care Center, Reception and Study Center for Children, and Bambang Elementary School.

Every grade level was divided into several groups, with each creating and hosting their own program of special numbers, games, Bible storytelling, and personal testimonies shared by the students, all aimed at inspiring the children and elderly to have a personal relationship with God.

“I’m truly thankful for this Bible Week immersion, as I’ve always loved outreach and sharing God’s love with others,” shared Zion student Shey Naomi Lu. “Being able to impact these children’s lives by introducing them to the Lord is incredibly fulfilling and will always put a smile on my face.”

Meanwhile, the Early Years students participated in a Bible Story Costume Contest, where they dressed up as the characters assigned to them for the story. Grades 1 to 7 students engaged in Bible Trivia, Bible Jeopardy, Bible Drill, and Bible Memory Verse activities.

“Through these activities, we hope students develop compassion by seeing and responding to the needs of others, empathy by understanding the struggles of different sectors of society, and gratitude by appreciating their own blessings and opportunities,” shared Spiritual Formation Department Head Rosalee Pagnamitan. “More importantly, we want them to realize that the Bible is not only meant to be read but lived, and that true faith is shown through kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others.”
