Ang Siblings Bag Awards in the GRC 2026

New Lifer siblings Skylar Freya Ang of Damascus and Samara Fionna Ang of Olive brought home awards in the Creative Innovation Category of the Global Robotics Competition (GRC) 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand, last September 4 to 7.

Skylar was awarded Champion in the Junior Division and won a Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Award for her BIOSCAN project. Meanwhile, Samara placed First Runner-Up in the Senior Division and was awarded gold for her CAINE project.

Guided by the theme, “New Global Future Medical,” participants from Pre-school to Senior High School were tasked with researching a real-world medical or healthcare challenge and presenting their concept to a panel using a formal pitch deck.

The GRC is an annual international event that aims to foster cross-cultural collaboration, empower young innovators, and inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, and programmers by providing a professional platform to showcase technical skills and creativity.
