MGCNLCA Badminton Varsity Claims FCAAF Victory

The MGC New Life Christian Academy Badminton Varsity showcased incredible excellence and determination in the 2025 Filipino Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) Tournament held at the Centro Atletico court last October 26.

The high school girls emerged as champions and took home the gold medal, while the high school boys secured the bronze.

Girls’ Team Captain Sharlize Yllyna Bayot remarked, “I’m really happy with my performance and the whole team’s performance; our efforts really paid off since we won gold!”

Meanwhile, Boys’ Team Captain Jairus Lee is thankful for their third-place finish, but vowed to do better next year.  “For next year’s FCAAF, we should strive to play with more confidence so we can achieve a higher place,” said Lee.

Representing the high school girls’ team were Bayot and Co-captain Alessi Johanna Chua, as well as Bethany Grace Tan, Sachi Caitlyn Esteban, Lexie Eva Siao, and Eunice Mikayla Valdez. Competing for the high school boys team were Lee and Co-captain Caleb Zachary Tiu, along with Carlson Seth Go, Lucas Andrew Chung, Seth Nico Ong, and Jeremy Ngo.
