New Lifers Bag Medals at SEAMO 2025
MGC New Life Christian Academy mathletes across numerous grade levels garnered two gold, six silver, and 10 bronze medals at the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) 2025 held online last October 18.
Leading the New Lifers’ outstanding performance were Grade 6 students Nathan Gohoc and Yul Kwon, who struck gold by placing first and ninth, respectively, in their level.
Meanwhile, the silver medalists were Nyle Asher Uy from Grade 2, Nayla Serene Mateo from Grade 5, Theo Chan from Grade 6, Tyler Gavin Uy from Grade 8, Abbie Gail Ang from Grade 9, and Raphael David Co from Grade 10.
Lastly, Elijah Isaac Pichache-David and Harris Dane Saavedra from Grade 2, Audrey Isabelle Lee from Grade 4, Timothy Acebo, Farah Madison Ong, and Caleb Royce Garcia from Grade 5, Keisha Elise Wang and Alyssa Grace Ng from Grade 7, Pierce Victor Takai from Grade 8, and Aaron Russel Kho from Grade 11, all received bronze.
The above-mentioned students are qualified to join SEAMO X 2026, the international round of SEAMO, which will be held in Bali, Indonesia, from January 16 to 19, 2026.
Founded in 2016, SEAMO is an internationally recognized competition that aims to enhance the critical thinking and problem-solving abilities of students from kindergarten to high school.
