MGCNLCA Marks First Cement Pouring Milestone

Despite earlier challenges and uncertainties, the Alabang expansion campus of MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) has officially moved forward with the first cement pouring ceremony held last July 29 at Alabang Global City.

Themed “Building on a Firm Foundation,” the ceremony marked another significant milestone in the school’s expansion project, following the groundbreaking ceremony held last February.

In his opening remarks, Board of Trustees Chairman James Tioco reflected on the lasting impact that the new campus will have on future generations. He reminded those present that while every great structure requires a strong physical foundation, the strongest foundation for any building is not concrete, but Christ.

Tioco also emphasized that the school’s greatest legacy is not the buildings themselves, but the lives that will be shaped within them.

“Our students are our living time capsules,” he said, noting that each generation of learners carries forward the values, faith, mission and vision of the school. “As concrete will be poured… may we also pour out our lives into this next generation. May every classroom that will be built truly transform young lives, [form characters, develop leaders, proclaim the Gospel, and send disciple-makers] into every profession, every university, and every nation.”

The ceremony was attended by the Board of Trustees, school leaders, school expansion project committees, leaders from Makati Gospel Church, representatives from State Properties Investment Corporation and the Cityland Group, architect and Batch 6 alumni Marc Heinrich Go, designer Budji Layug, and the project’s general contractors, Millenium Erectors Corporation.
