MGCNLCA Recognized Internationally in HKISO 2026
MGC New Life Christian Academy made waves in the international competitive sphere with 12 awards in the final round of the Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO) held last June 20.
Through their efforts and determination, Damascus students Sophie Alexa Hernandez and Michiko Meredith Tiong won gold, while their batchmate Iora Megan Garcia was awarded silver.
Adding to the accolades, Berea students Anica Faith So, Evan Michael Gaw, and Liam Cedric Chao; Damascus student Johann Audric Chan; and Patmos student Sean Matthew Go earned bronze medals.
Meanwhile, Lance Thierry Go of Nazareth, Jillian Cassidy Kaw of Damascus, Gavin Chase Go of Patmos, and Madeleine Christina Sy of Olive were given merit awards.
The HKISO is a renowned annual science competition for students from Grades 2 to 12, testing the four main science disciplines: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Integrated Science. The competition, organized by the Olympiad Champion Education Center, aims to inspire curiosity and truth-seeking in students.
